SCHEDULE: 8 weeks

The Seattle Department of Transportation tenant improvement of Floor 31 in the 800 Fifth Avenue building in downtown Seattle. Highlighting the space is the elevator lobby which features reclaimed wood slats and local artisan glass tiles created using recycled glass.

Work consisted of the full demolition of existing non-core elements and upgrade of MEP and Fire Protection systems including three new heat pumps and one VAV box, new fire alarms and sprinklers. Build out included new offices and partition walls for owner-provided demountable wall systems, new paint, custom casework, carpet, glass walls and entry doors with frames and hardware, re-painting of the existing grid ceiling and installation of new ACT tile. This fast-paced project was originally scheduled at 12 weeks but through close coordination with the client and design team Schuchart reduced the project schedule to 8 weeks.
