Bryan, a welding foreman, has spent years perfecting his craft of welding, machining, and heavy equipment mechanics. With 28 years in the metal trades and 5 years with Schuchart, Bryan has built a reputation for not only being at the top of his field, but teaching and inspiring others to become more versatile by developing skills outside of their discipline, making them a more valuable asset to the company. Combining hands-on expertise with leadership skills developed in the U.S. Marine Corps, Bryan has contributed to the success of numerous Schuchart projects.
Beginning in junior high shop class, Bryan took up machining which inspired him to pursue a future in the metal trades. In 2002, Bryan enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps as a 1341 Heavy Equipment Mechanic, serving from 2002 to 2006 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout the phases of OIF I, II, and III, he was stationed in Al Fallujah, Iraq, working on a variety of military equipment, from forklifts and cranes to bulldozers. This period was pivotal, instilling a strong sense of leadership and discipline that would later shape his career.
After leaving the military, Bryan transitioned to focusing on welding and began teaching at several colleges in the Seattle area. His passion for teaching was evident in the positive environment he created for students. Bryan made classes engaging and rewarding by ensuring that students learned valuable skills they could carry with them for a lifetime. During this time, Bryan also worked in aviation, aerospace and structural welding jobs, handling projects for Air Force One, BMW Oracle, the I-5 highway, as well as a variety of other projects, attaining many welding credentials in the process.
Six years ago, Bryan was referred to Schuchart, where he became a vital member of the team. His expertise has been invaluable in managing welding and fabrication projects for Schuchart. In addition to his technical expertise, Bryan excels in leadership and management roles, often working to provide guidance and mentorship. He is committed to fostering a positive work environment where people are encouraged to grow, learn, and contribute to the team’s success.
